Behind the scenes at SmartGrid
The Green Box is a fast-growing cleantech campus that currently houses 12 tenants. Established entrepreneurs and up-and-coming talent work together on cleantech solutions that accelerate the energy transition. At The Green Box, we are dedicated to highlight the exceptional work of our tenants, starting with SmartGrid.
Henri Bontenbal, CDA party specialist for Climate & Energy, draws inspiration from the cleantech developments at The Green Box.
For years, Bontenbal has been advocating for the energy transition as a member of the CDA in the 2nd chamber. On March 1, he planned a work field visit with his CDA colleagues from Overijssel and visited The Green Box. A must-see location.
Ynte De Vries and Rien Veldsink have joined the team of The Green Box
As of February 1, The Green Box has a new CEO: Ynte de Vries. The former COO of Koolen Industries is making the switch to The Green Box to accelerate the development of the cleantech campus even more. In addition to Ynte, Rien Veldsink is also transitioning from Koolen Industries to The Green Box team.

Eaton launches new mcc and power distribution system at customer event at The Green Box campus
At the beginning of December the xEnergy Elite introduction event took place on The Green Box campus. Eaton customers were introduced to Eaton's latest high-end low-voltage Motor Control Center and power distribution system. This new system offers high availability and reduces the risk of arc flash.
Twente Goes Techno X The Green Box
Technology is all around us. We can't live without it anymore. Yet fewer adolescents are opting for technical studies. That’s a shame because new talents are desperately needed in the technology sector. But how do high school students know if they have an affinity for technology? The entire building is fully sustainable and equipped with the most advanced energy-saving techniques. From EV charging stations and energy-efficient lighting to sustainable generation through solar panels. Climate control is organized by a VRF system.
